This year we decided to devote an entire weekend to the Williams' side of the family and since everyone was pretty busy over Christmas, we waited to get together until New Years weekend.
Grandpa gave Hunter some farm-fresh eggs
( he really liked that they were different colors )
Welcome to Amanda's B&B . . . ahhhh
LOL - Just teasing . . . though it does feel like that every time we visit. Amanda & Mike are great hostesses and always make our stay absolutely wonderful. This was dinner, which was ready and waiting for us as we walked through the door. Believe it or not, the food even tasted as good as it looks!!
After dinner the boys crashed in the living room, watching Hunter's pick - 'Cars 2'
While the girls hung out in the GORGEOUS KITCHEN (do not covet - do not covet - lol)
and baked (watched Amanda @ 36 weeks create) this gorgeous cake.
Hunter and his best buddy Uncle Mike
The rest of the family rolled in on New Years Eve.
We spent the day eating DELICIOUS pot-luck yummies and laughing off the chaos from 10 kids playing - wrestling - fighting - screaming - crying - laughing . . .
This box was THE TOY to play with it seemed. Hunter & Easton had a ball dragging it around all day.
Baby Alissa was a happy little girl and showed off her newest trick - Smiling :)
Hunter is soooo into the baby thing right now! These two were just the cutest!!
He insisted that he wanted to "hold her by mys-self"
SO maybe he will be a good big brother one of these days . . .
That afternoon, Amanda pulled a "Grandma Jerri" and provided all the gifts for a game of 'Dirty Santa'. It was actually a combo between 'White Elephant' & 'Dirty Santa', since every gift was a re-gift from somewhere in the Estes home - It was really alot of fun!!
Then the kids exchanged gifts with the cousin they had drawn at Thanksgiving. Hunter was beyond ready to deliver his gift to Joshua. And Caleb did an awesome job finding Hunter a tractor that pulls a trailer and bails hay! He loved it!!
It was a beautiful day, which thankfully allowed the kids to burn off some stored energy and extra sugar.
That evening us girls tucked ourselves away in a bedroom to "keep Emily company during feeding" which turned into a 2 hour session of girl talk - YEAH!! No kids, and no boys . . . ahhh . . . sometimes its just nice to get away. :) But like all good things, it came to an end - lucky for us it was because these 3 munchkins are just so darn cute!!
(I realize this may embarrass my son one day . . . but he's 2, crazy cute, and I can't help but think that just about everything he does is sweet enough to wanna remember) They were dancing . . . aka "shakin' my booty"
After a long, exciting day, with no nap - alot of our crowd crashed early . . .
Which left a nice handful of people to bring in the New Year with.
We did it up right and toasted with both Red & White selections - Happy 2012 !!
On New Years Day, my sweet & adorable SIL let me go with her to check on baby Lily, who sounded perfect!
I convinced her to show off that baby belly for a couple of memento photos . . .
Yeah!! for still looking so tiny and cute at 37 weeks! Seriously - How beautiful!!
And it was a good thing we took them when we did because guess who showed up early on January 5th???
Lillian Rose
all 6 lbs and 20 inches of her
too sweet and precious for words
simply a gift of love and grace from God
The faithful love of the LORD never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance therefore, I will hope in him!”
Lamentations 3:22-24
